Monte followed us home on our nightly walk on July 15, 2009. I've never heard of a cat to do this, it was a good four or five blocks that he trotted after us. He spent the night outside and was gone the next afternoon. About a week and a half later, neighbors from the opposite direction asked us if we lost a cat, then asked us to please take this cat -- it was the same kitten that followed us home! Now he had a collar on with a bad phone number. We have not been able to locate his home. Monte is a very fun-loving cat; he is sweet, unassuming, playful, snuggly. He has a good mix of traits, not too wild like some kittens can be but also he is not just sedentary. Monte has been trained not to scratch furniture, he is fully litter trained and will also use the bathroom outside. Monte has not yet been to a vet, we had hoped to find his home but I don't think that's going to happen. So I've spoken with the vets and will have him neutered and given shots if his potential adopter needs some help with this. Monte is currently on a diet of Solid Gold Katz-N-Flocken from Nauti Paws Pet Boutique. The treats used for training are "Cat on the Go" also from Nauti Paws. During the summer months we don't offer a raw diet because of sanitary reasons in the heat, but Monte would probably do wonderfully on a raw diet. There is one photo of when Monte was first with us, he has grown a LOT in a few weeks! Monte's video shows him in his very playful, frisky mood - where as now, 20 minutes later he is falling asleep snuggled up to my arm at the desk giving me very cute faces.
